Together, we will delve deeper into the measures and techniques associated with EN 5012x.
We will look at the safety requirements at various levels of requirement
engineering and you will create an exemplary FTA model with the help of tools. You will receive an
introduction to FMECA as an analysis technique. We also develop communication protocols for
decentralized systems, taking into account the standards DIN EN 50159, IEC 62443 and DIN EN 61784.
We also look at residual error probabilities and how these are determined. The
focus is on safety features in communication and network architecture.
We will show you the main differences between the EN 5012x and EN 61508 standards.
You will also learn why reviews are so important and we will show you how to carry out reviews effectively
and correctly. On the last day, we will discuss when and how the “proven in use” method
can be used for existing systems to identify systematic design errors.
We will take a look at the hurdles in the verification process and the challenges of validation at
.

This training provides comprehensive knowledge of the assessment and approval process in Germany and European countries in accordance with the fourth railroad package, taking into account the European directives. The individual technical specifications for interoperability define which characteristics the railroads’ subsystems must have in order to maintain a railroad system that can be used throughout Europe. This also includes common safety methods for the evaluation and assessment of risks (CSM), as well as safety regulation for vehicles (SIRF).

In this course, the focus is on practice and therefore on the application of the knowledge you have acquired in the previous
modules 1-4. We will take a closer look at and discuss the individual roles in
project work with you. In addition, you will learn the correct
documentation of source citations as well as safety requirements and methodologies for
hazard control in various projects. You will also independently create a technical safety report based on a technical
example.
This module concludes with an exam.

This training course serves as an introduction to rail technology and rail transportation for newcomers and career changers. The principles and basics of railroads are taught. You will also gain reliable knowledge for later practical application. The basics of understanding the clearance gauge and track will be a constant companion later on. How a train behaves on the track, how brakes and their air system interact functionally and which rolling stock is used is of fundamental importance for interrelated planning in rail traffic.

This training course is about more than just creating an organizational chart and the independence
of roles. We delve into the identification of CSM stakeholders, the control of
configuration and change management as well as the correct handling of
document control and risk management. These
aspects are of crucial importance in safety-oriented rail projects.
Our experienced trainers will guide you through all the relevant topics and provide you with the
know-how you need to be a successful project manager in this challenging area
. The training course ends with an exam, the passing of which not only confirms your acquired
knowledge, but also serves as proof of your qualification. Get ready to master the
challenges of a safety-oriented rail project with confidence – our
in-depth training course will lay the foundations for your success!

This training course provides knowledge of FSM (Functional Safety Management) and the implementation of various standards. Tolerable hazards and the minimization of risks form an essential part of this module. Independent role systems, environmental conditions and safety-oriented software are fundamentally taught.

Often named or even required in regulations and guidelines: the safety manager.
But what exactly must the safety manager be able to do? What interfaces does he or she have in the company? Is
the Safety Manager anchored in the project – or rather the staff unit in the company? What
responsibilities does the Safety Manager really have?
The role in the project or company, but also the understanding of the role of the Safety
Manager, varies depending on the company’s orientation. Operators, manufacturers and maintenance companies
set their own requirements – and the authorities or experts also set standards.
We have compiled the requirements of standardization, industry,
associations and universities from the experience of the last 10 years and created this attractive training course.
Top-class lecturers will give presentations on current topics with a focus on safety in
rail transport.

The updated standard DIN EN 50126:2018 has emphasized the importance of validation
. The current requirements of the standard are named in this training
and assigned to specific actions. There is a conscious decision not to “read out” exclusively from the standard
, but to name the necessary documents and procedures.
What do I need for validation? and – What do I have to deliver to complete a successful
validation?
